Made to Measure

Made to measure is a service in which a pre-existing pattern is adjusted to an individual's measurements, rather than a new pattern being drafted from scratch as in bespoke tailoring. It typically requires fewer fittings and offers a more accessible entry point into personalised clothing.

The distinction matters: made to measure starts from a block pattern and arrives at the individual. Bespoke starts from the individual and arrives at the pattern. Both are superior to ready-to-wear, but they are not the same thing.
