Super Numbers (Wool Grades)

The Super number — Super 100s, Super 120s, Super 150s, and beyond — indicates the fineness of the wool fibre used in a fabric, measured in microns. Higher numbers indicate finer fibres: more lustrous and softer to the touch, but also more delicate and less resilient than heavier cloths.

Super 100s to Super 130s represents the practical range for daily-wear suiting. Beyond Super 150s, the fabric becomes a technical achievement more suited to occasional wear or display. Choose by occasion and lifestyle, not by the highest number available.
