Description
The solid stick umbrella is the most traditional form in the Francesco Maglia workshop — a walking umbrella whose single-piece shaft construction reflects a different philosophy to the folding or fit-up alternatives. It is an object designed to be carried with intention rather than folded into a bag.
This version is built on a Japanese bamboo root mounted on a flamed beech wood shaft — a combination that produces an umbrella with exceptional natural character. The bamboo root handle is dense, irregular and entirely unrepeatable.
