Épaule en Corde

A roped shoulder is a shoulder construction in which the sleevehead is set slightly higher than the armhole, creating a distinctive raised rope-like ridge along the shoulder line. Associated with British tailoring, it produces a structured, authoritative silhouette.

The degree of rope varies by tradition: Savile Row houses favour a pronounced rope, while Continental interpretations tend toward a softer expression.
