Sartoria Bespoke
Bespoke tailoring is the creation of a garment made entirely from scratch to an individual customer's measurements, posture, and aesthetic preferences, requiring multiple fittings. The term originates from the trade language of Savile Row, where a cloth was said to 'have been bespoken' — claimed — for a specific client.
A bespoke garment is not a product. It is a record: of a body, a set of preferences, and a relationship between a client and a cutter that is among the last genuine artisanal transactions available to the contemporary man.
